The PC Card Serial RS232 integrates a high speed serial port. The Serial I/O's 16550UARTs has built-in data buffers, allowing Windows and OS/2 users to run fast modems(14.4Kbps and above) at full speed without wasting bandwidth re-transmitting missedcharacters. A industry standard DB-9 connector is included to connect your portablecomputer to serial peripherals such as medical and scientific data collection equipment,label printers, bar code scanners, stenographic machines and external fax/modems.
With the Serial card, portable computer users can have simultaneous access to otherserial peripherals and transfer different data using dual high speed RS-232 serial ports.
PCMCIA compatibility and Plug and Play features are assured with full support of allmajor Card and Socket Services software vendors. A full set of direct enablers are alsoincluded to support all major socket controllers.
