What's new for 2.0b
The buttons along the bottom row of tk3play are now all gif images. It should be possible to make some nicer buttons. Albert Lai showed me how to do this and has made some nice buttons. Hopefully, I'll put them here soon. Also, changed - all installation files go into /usr/local/lib/tk3play-2.0b/. This will hopefully eliminate problems with new tk3play installations overlapping other/older files.
What's New for 2.0
Tk3play now uses mpg123 exclusively to decode files. Older versions used to simply call (exec) mpg123 from a command line. The new version now uses a messaging system to communicate commands and information back and forth between the tk3play GUI and mpg123. This makes it possible to do more, some of which is listed below:
