WEEE regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulation 2013 is a new legislation designed to address the environmental impact of waste electrical and electronic equipment. The UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations were introduced in 2007 with the aim of reducing the amount of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) ending up in a landfill. The regulations have been put in place to ensure that products are recycled using best available treatment, recovery and recycling techniques to ensure human health and high environmental protection.
